How does Fiabee save my information?
Fiabee Online Backup encrypts your data twice before it even leaves your PC. Your encrypted files and folders are then sent via the Internet using SSL protocol. All your backup data is stored on our secure servers, encrypted and only accessible by you. Fiabee Online Backup uses the security levels and technology used by banks for their Internet transactions, to ensure full security during transport to servers and once stored.
What information can Fiabee save?
Fiabee Online Backup gives the option to automatically backup all the files you have in ‘My Documents’ on your computer. The files saved by default are all your Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, Power Point), all your photos, emails and data files saved on your computer. At any time, you can also add any other executable files, system files, videos and any other folders and files on your PC, that you would like to backup.
How many files can Fiabee store?
Fiabee can store ALL the files on your computer’s internal hard drive - Truly as many files and folders as you like. Take a look at our Buy Fiabee page to choose the right plan for you. Be aware that the capacity of your ADSL connection makes copying more than 15 GB at one time slower.
Does Fiabee make a complete backup of my information every day?
Once you have installed Fiabee Online Backup, a complete backup copy will be made of all your PC files and documents that you have chosen to backup. From then on, Fiabee Online Backup will automatically detect and backup any new files created in your folders and any files that have been amended. We ensure that you have an up-to-date backup copy at hand at all times.
How do I retrieve my backup data if it is lost?
Fiabee Online Backup allows you to quickly and easily retrieve your information on any computer. In the event that your computer is lost, stolen or damaged, just go to www.Fiabee.com on any PC or laptop, login with your username and password, and then follow the simple and clear steps to restore your data from backup.
To retrieve your backup data on your own computer, go to your Fiabee application, select the restore tab and then either select all the data or just tick the files and folders you would like to restore to their original location. You can also select ‘retrieve my information to..’ to recover the data in a new location on your computer.
The time needed for the restored data to download onto your computer will depend on the size of the files and the speed of your ADSL connection. A few files can be retrieved in a few minutes or even seconds. The average time to restore 16GB from backup is just one day.
Where is my information stored?
Fiabee Online Backup has state-of-the-art servers in data centres housed in Barcelona, Spain. The servers have been designed to be up to 36 million times safer than your computer’s hard drive or an external hard drive. The data centres have been built specifically to house top-level security servers. Restricted access, full fire prevention plus high-level backup electricity and independent generators, to guarantee power supply is never disrupted.
On which operating systems will Fiabee Online Backup run?
Fiabee Online Backup supports Windows XP and Windows Vista for 32 and 64 bits. We will also be launching Fiabee for Mac and Linux very shortly.
